Sisters.
Commissioned portrait of Elaine and Claire Asare.
Completed: July - August 2020.
Measures: 20 x 30 inches.
Materials: colored pencil, graphite, chalk pastel, eyeshadow, paper.
Back in 2017 Elaine approached me with an idea: a portrait of her and her twin sister a la The Two Fridas, dressed in kimono with Japanese and Ghanaian patterns to combine their two heritages. At last the portrait is complete. It is one of my proudest works to date.
