i. The road you came in on (2022)

A depiction of the gender-bending bodhisattva of compassion Guanyin / Kannon / Avalokiteśvara, combined with the red thread of fate. The title is also a reference to a cherished Baltimore saloon, The Horse you Came in On, and Edgar Allan Poe's fate there.

ii. Sky collector (2023)

I journeyed a lot in 2023 and encountered many skies. This piece was also inspired by panels in The Arrival by Shaun Tan.

iii. World we're in (after Wyeth) (2025)​

I'd been talking with colleagues about the Frame Problem, which is framed as a problem for AI but really is a problem for anyone.

​

Materials for all pieces include paper, graphite, colored pencil, eyeshadow, string, and canvas. All pieces measure 12 x 12 inches.
